Good evening blogger friends, you find me fresh from my first day back at work since my holidays - I'm glad that's over with; not that anything bad happened today but isn't the first day back at work after a holiday so soul destroying? And I'm glad I had my boyfriend to keep me company all weekend until this morning because, despite the obvious, he took my mind off it and stopped me from thinking on it too much - it's a good thing, he's a very good person to have in my life.
The first few hours at work this morning dragged but after that all went well; and as soon as I got back into the zone I was fine, the rest of the day zipped on by. Now it feels like I've not been away from work at all, it's funny how it now all seems so distant, but still I have the memories, a large stash of tobacco and a dwindled bank account to remind me! But I enjoyed the most wonderful feeling upon my return home this evening, as soon as I walked on in through my front door a sense of how great it was to back home safe and well just hit me out of nowhere - so beautiful and so evident. I guess it's something that's lost during the normal day-to-day routine, it becomes just a part of the day, but as it was my first day back it was a fresh and exhilarating experience.
It was great to see girlfriend and Gill today too - life and work just wouldn't be the same without them; and perhaps they're the only reason I had to feel good about returning. Bless them both they did not disappoint, talking of which........................
After the usual did you have a nice holiday questions, girlfriend asks me if I'd had a nice weekend, which is nothing unusual as she knew I was with my boyfriend. Real nice I replied quite innocently which brought about howls of laughter from both her and Gill, what's so funny I thought. Well the answer came in the form of a statement from girlfriend - we can see that she said; and then the realisation hit me. With the trauma of the first day back I'd completely forgotten about it but both girlfriend and Gill obviously noticed it immediately - of all the people, you know?
It was the love bite on my neck, despite hope it had not faded - in fact the redness had been replaced by bruising which made it look worse and my shirt collar did not hide it. Oh my gosh - I could do nothing but blush. Did I have a nice weekend? A question that did not need to be asked because the answer was wholly evident for all to see.

The holiday was great thanks Rach, a real nice time was had by all. The weekend was just brilliant but I imagine you guessed, read or have been told that already! We're not that bad are we? You should see the stuff that doesn't make it onto the blog - that would make you scream.
