When's that then? Yes, I know Blogger world it was over the weekend that's just gone; and a good evening to you all too. I missed it - totally, utterly, completely; I didn't even see a single snippet of it. I love Glastonbury, probably the best music festival in the world which attracts the real heavyweights in the musical world along with the upcoming and more obscure. Over the years of watching it I've fell in love with many a band that were new to me; it's an education as well as a spectacle of music heaven!
This year in particular appealed to me so much because a fair few of my favourite artists and bands were playing - Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Nick Cave and Bon Iver, if I were to have a hand picked line up, a dream team, they would all be in it. Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen in particular, I would have loved to see them rock Glastonbury - I can only imagine the scene as they tore up the stage. I read in the newspaper today how good the aforementioned were, Springsteen apparently put on the best show many have ever seen - playing for over two and a half hours and incurring a £3000 fine for the organisers because he played beyond the stage time. And it all passed me by.........................
But I'm not sad boys and girls; and I don't regret missing it because as much as I love Glastonbury there's one person I love even more.................. my boyfriend ♂ ♡ ♂. I wouldn't have changed a thing this weekend, it was perfect and there's nothing else that I'd have rather done and no one else with whom I'd rather have spent the time with. He called it last night, he told girlfriend it was the best weekend we've spent since we've been together - just so, so true.
I appreciate you may have gathered this from my posts over the weekend but it does no harm to reiterate the fact besides the memories have been floating around in my head all day long whilst at work today.
Me passing up Bruce Springsteen? I've never thought I'd see the day, but I guess it's strange how time changes you...................
